Masses on Ash Wednesday

February 26th at 8 am &  12 noon &  7 pm

The signing of the Cross on your forehead with Ashes on Ash Wednesday will be experienced by millions of Christians all over the world.  Ashes are a solemn reminder that God is the one in the driver’s seat and we are the passengers; that life here on earth is not permanent; that a greater place is being prepared for us.  They also remind us that Jesus calls us to change a part of ourselves – not necessarily a change of activities, a change of contracts or even a change of pace, but a change of heart.  What do you have your heart set on?  Let the ashes you will receive on February 26th be a reminder to set your heart on the kingdom first, “then all things will be given you as well.”

Fridays during Lent

Each Friday of Lent we have special devotions to mark the season and to assist us in our spiritual growth. We will continue to have the two daily Masses at 8 am and 12:10 pm, along with Eucharistic Adoration beginning after the morning Mass and continuing until 4:10 pm approximately with a ‘break’ during the Noon period for Mass. To these we add: 4:10 pm - Evening Prayer followed by the chaplet of Divine Mercy & Invocations for Vocations & the Clergy along with Benediction; 4:45 pm - Stations of the Cross; 5:15 pm – Mass.  For those who cannot attend the afternoon Stations at the Cathedral, other Churches in the city may have Stations -- you will simply need to search.

Whether you’re just visiting us for a brief time, looking for a new parish home, are returning to the practice of your Catholic faith or are interested in finding out more about the Catholic Church, we’re happy to have you here.

A parish is a community of believers and a spiritual family that is supportive and loving. It can be a place to grow spiritually, to put your faith in action, and to use our gifts of time and talent as disciples of Christ.  Explore our pages under Ministries and Education for opportunities to use your gifts, expand your prayer life or learn more about our faith.

We look forward to seeing you!
