Religious Education for Children

Beginning October 2, 2016

Sessions will be held on Sundays at the parish centre from  11 am – noon.

  • General Religious Education Classes. We will have programs for children in K-Gr 1.  Grade 1 students must attend if not attending Catholic school.

  • Year I Sacramental Prep. Those children wishing to begin sacramental preparation (Confession, Confirmation & Eucharist) will register for Year I.  If your child is in school and has not yet been baptized, this is also the class in which to register. This is a two-year program.    Children attending Catholic schools must also register although these children and parents are only obligated to attend the sacramental component of the parish program. These families will receive additional communication after sessions begin in September.   Within this two-year program, the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) is celebrated in the 1st year and the remaining sacraments in Year II.  If Baptism is to be celebrated, there are various steps along the way that will be explained.

  • Year II Sacramental Prep. Parents, whose children have completed Year I of the Sacramental Preparation Class, are asked to register for this new year.

Registration is required.  Please contact the parish office at 250-388-5571.
