BAPTISM INFORMATION FOR ADULTS

Adults who wish to inquire about entry into the Church through the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist are invited to call the Cathedral parish office at (250) 388-5571.  You will be guided as to the steps that follow.

Adults normally enter into the RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) for a period of one to two years.

It is advantageous if one has first attended Mass for a period of time prior to seeking entry into the RCIA.

It is entirely possible that if you inquire sufficiently early, you will be invited to join our VERITAS program.  Veritas is a basic introduction to Catholic Christianity lasting 9 weeks and is normally held in the spring.

INFORMATION FOR CHRISTIANS WHO WISH TO BECOME CATHOLIC

Christian adults who wish to inquire about entry into the Church through an Act of Acceptance along with the Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist are invited to call the Cathedral parish office at (250) 388-5571.  You will be guided as to the steps that follow.

The normal process is to participate in the RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) for a period determined by the spiritual background of the person inquiring.
