Anointing of the Sick
The Anointing of the Sick is a sacrament of the Catholic Church, offering profound comfort and strength to those enduring the challenges of illness, aging, or emotional suffering. This sacrament is not just for those approaching the end of life, but for anyone facing serious physical trials. It serves as a channel of God’s grace, bringing peace, courage, and spiritual healing.
In this holy anointing, Christ Himself is present, reaching out to hold you in your vulnerability, offering the strength to endure and the peace that transcends understanding. The Church, through this sacrament, asks for healing—both of the body, if it be God’s will, and of the soul, with the promise of forgiveness and renewal.
For those suffering emotionally, this sacrament is a reminder that you are not alone. Your pain is seen, your struggles are known, and God desires to walk with you in these moments. This sacrament draws you closer to Christ, who intimately understands suffering and offers His loving presence to carry you through.
Whether you are facing illness or emotional hardship, the Anointing of the Sick provides a path to experience God's healing embrace and reminds you that hope is always alive in His love.

Are any among you sick? They should call for the elders of the church and have them pray over them, anointing them with oil in the name of the Lord. The prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise them up, and anyone who has committed sins will be forgiven.
